Blockchain co-inventor Scott Stornetta on Timestamps, Society, and Mass Adoption of a Trusted Web

In 1991, over 3 decades ago, Scott Stornetta and Stuart Haber published the paper “How to Time-Stamp a Digital Document”. This paper can be described as the invention of blockchain. In 1992 this paper won the Discover Award for Computer Software; it’s considered to be one of the most important papers in the development of blockchain and cryptocurrencies as we know them today!
